Elizabeth Kessinger, LMFT

Psychotherapist

I have been a psychotherapist for close to 20 years and have found my passion in treating trauma and disordered eating.  I graduated from National University with my master’s in counseling psychology and am on target to complete my doctorate in marriage and family therapy from Northcentral University in 2023.   Additionally, I am completing the requirements towards my eating disorder specialist certification through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).  I have provided therapeutic services in a variety of settings, including inpatient care at Loma Linda University Behavioral Medical Center and the County of Riverside. I found my passion in treating those affected by trauma and struggling with disordered eating.  I am trained and qualified in Trauma Focused (TF-CBT) and qualified as a certified trauma specialist in dissociative disorders.  Along with treating trauma and eating disorders, I enjoy assisting parents with parenting skills, couples and family therapy, obsessive compulsive disorder as well as mood disorders.  I am trained in a variety of modalities, including DBT, CBT, IFS and ERT for OCD.  I strongly believe in a holistic and integrative approach to therapy and encourage clients to discover their strengths and healing from a compassionate and strengths based approach.

We provide comprehensive mental health care in a private practice setting. We offer a multi-disciplinary approach to care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists and masters level therapists that have expertise in a wide range of behavioral health disorders.
